- I'm particularly interested in 'the tyranny of distance', which promises to explore what it's like to be a writer in an isolated place.
- 'go away, go away: the worst things we've written that are memorialised forever online.' once, a curator read through my entire matchbox blog in one sitting and called me up to clarify a few details. I was shocked by what he pieced together and how much I'd shared.
- 'inside a blog: the teen perspective' because it's been interesting to see how tavi gevinson has gone from prolific teen blogger to editor of an online mag for girls.

sonya - digital writers' festival that you can attend from home
the digital writers' festival looks really intriguing - it's australian run and best of all, every single session will be webcast. I think it's free too!

The festival is posting videos of the Google hangout panels, so you don't necessarily have to tune in at the scheduled time. I'm about a third of my way into the tyranny of distance panel but so far it's very much for people who are full time writers (interested in upcoming events and panels) rather than the people we work with. There was an interesting part around the 14 minute mark about what it means to be a Qld writer, and their sense of place, along with the number of community driven projects that are popping up. Not sure if I'll keep watching this one..
